In How to save money while traveling we explained how to save money on food and accommodation in exchange for a few hours of work a day. During nine months we lived in a small caravan and helped creating a beautiful garden on the property of our Irish hosts.
This place isn’t just a homestay. Temple Grove is the name of the stunning home of Elly, a Reiki healer and Roderic, a cosmic philosopher. They created Temple Grove so it would be a sacred place, where people find the time and space for spiritual growth and (re)connection with themselves and nature.
Temple Grove is a pearl for the eyes! A little hidden paradise near Sneem, in the midst of the woods and the irish hills. Many visitors are in awe when they visit. Temple Grove is a piece of art, with nature as its biggest creator. A stunning place to get away from the world, to retreat into silence and reconnect with yourself and your surroundings.

Wow!! Ik doe het even in het Nederlands, naar Cythia. Jouw verhaal ‘Waarom ik koos voor het nomadenleven’ raakte me zo erg. Ik herken mezelf zo erg in jouw verhaal voor je ging reizen!! Van daaruit klikte ik door naar deze pagina, omdat dit PRECIES het soort vrijwilligerswerk in het buitenland wat ik al ZO lang zoek maar nooit kan vinden. (ik snap dat deze plek nu af is) Ik was zó benieuwd hoe deze plek er nu uit zou zien, en hoe duur een verblijf zou zijn. De website die hier gelinked staat werkt echte niet meer en via google kan ik ook niks vinden over deze plek, dan kom ik meteen bij jullie website terug uit.
Weet jij misschien de huidige website van deze geweldig mooie plek en weet je of er vaker zo’n vrijwilligerswerk gedaan kan worden ergens?

Bedankt voor je berichtje! Ik heb toen deze plaats via de website helpx.net gevonden. Er staan daar heel wat alternatieve plaatsen op dus neem zeker eens een kijkje!
Ook bedankt om te laten weten dat de website van Temple Grove niet meer werkt. De eigenaars zijn vrienden dus ik kan gerust even bij hen navragen hoeveel het kost om daar te verblijven en of ze nog vrijwilligers zoeken. Als het goed is, stuur ik je een mailtje met de info van zodra ik die heb.
